Hello, my name is Boo.

I am a writer who also draws. I am currently working on several projects, including The Second Life of Ruelle More, a children’s novel which I plan on getting traditionally published, and a webcomic featuring the same characters in a different storyline. I occasionally blog about my thoughts which are often quite disturbing (I suppose I never really grew out of my teen angst despite now being in my mid-twenties).

Here are six sappy, corny things I’ve learned so far:

  1. We do not live long enough to mature; our lives are eternity compressed into seconds and we spend a lot of it wandering aimlessly.
  2. We’re often led to believe that what we are is all we can be: a disappointment, perhaps, a life with no soul. Or in my case, not as human as everybody else.
  3. Disappointments and heartaches. They exist, but the world won’t end just because they do.
  4. Becoming who we want to be is our birthright; we are allowed to chase our dreams, to pat ourselves on the back once in a while, to be kind even when we feel like the world doesn’t want us to be.
  5. When people hurt us, what we must do is shove love back at them harder. We should all be sickeningly soft-hearted because only hard hearts break.
  6. And lastly, I’ve learned that it’s okay to fall and crawl sometimes — that is how we learn to stand.

I did Fashion Design at Accademia Italiana. Now I’m reading English with Creative Writing at Keele and am saving up for either an MFA in Creative Writing at UEA or an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa. Before moving to the UK, I always visit the Buddhist temple near my house to give offerings to the monks on my birthdays. I also volunteer at the children’s home and the juvenile centre. I’d like to be able to do that again. So if you know where this is possible in the UK, please let me know. Thanks, fam.

You can support me and my work on Patreon — it would be most appreciated. I hope you are having a wonderful day. And remember to be kind to yourself.
